intake elbow coolant
intake elbow coolant
Ok, there is a coolant line on the intake elbow I can't figure out where it went.Anyone got any ideas? Also does someone have a picture of how the throttle cable bolts up?
The coolant line goes on your throttle body, not the elbow. You can also bypass it and just connect it directly underneath the throttle body if you live somewhere that doesn't get ridiculously could. (It's to prevent ice buildup inside your throttle body.)
Thanks, I took the aws off, makes since why it wouldn't go anywhere, but I thought the aws was on the uim. Anyway, when I took it off of the car the first time it was clogged FULL of dirt?

If your AWS is deleted, just cap the nipple. You can use a plastic cap designed to fit on the end of a stool leg.
The throttle cable bolts to the rearmost stud on the tb (small bracket), then wraps toward the pass side and bolts to the uim (larger bracket) on the 2nd stud from the rear of the engine bay, then comes around and towards the driver's side and the rubber grommet section slips down into the bracket sticking out from the uim. then you have to pull the linkage upward and slide the cable around and down the linkage until it snaps in.
Here you can see most of it:

The water line to the throttle body is not for deiceing , there is not a water jacket around the throttle body . It is for the hot wax rod system, for cold fast idle , not part of the AWS .
