intake

I am looking to buy a new intake for my rx7. i've had the greddy airinix for about a year but im not very happy with it. at idle it is much nosier than stock and i dont really like the look. I would rather have something closer to the stock look but maybe with polished pipes. I would also like some kind of air box. Ive looked into the M2 and pettit but they're a little pricey. if anyone is selling one that would be great. i also put a post in the classifieds.

How about a modded stock box....ala cheap-bastard or one of the other methods of opening it for outside air? It would also be beneficial if you have emissions in MD as they are essentially invisable on inspections.

IMO, just get something u think looks nice, cuz the air temp from ur intercooler to ur TB will most likely be the same. especially if u have a front mount intercooler.

i have the blitz dual intake right now. i love it. slight better turbo response because aluminum mesh it doesn't stretch like K&N cloth or HKS, greddy sponge ones. and the sound of the turbo spooling isn't muffled by cloth so it is more crisp. all very slightly difference but noticeable

though my next intake will be the newer HKS to save room when i get front mount IC.

A modified sotck airbox will give you the most cool air, because it provides two cool air sources.

No timing adjustment is needed. However, you may need a boost controller depending on how many other mods you have done.
