removing gauge needle on cluster
i feel like i'm really close to snapping the damn needle off, is this thing glued on or something? is there some trick to taking these things off? best method?
any help would be appreciated

There is a tool to remove them but only comes with the NR white face gauges. You can use a small panel puller. The forked part needs to be small. You can also make this tool. Just get a piece of metal or hard plastic thin enough to get between the gauge face and the needle, cut out a groove and you should be good to go.

I used a small pry bar(one used for tacks) and carefully went around the underside of the needle and pryed up a little at a time...Be careful as the face of the gauge can scratch easily...U can also use flathead screwdriver and twist it instead of prying just like with the pry bar... just mark the final stop point of the needle as so you can put it back on correctly...Hope that all made sense!

A PAINT CAN LID REMOVER WORKS WONDERS BUT BE CAREFUL! it cracks easily. also grab it two fingers on either side long and short and wigle slightly till it comes off. a little patience and finesse and it wont brek and wont warp so it doesnt fall off in the cluster upon re-install... go ahead ask me how i know lol.
