I installed a greddy temp gauge today and everythin went well except now i can only boost .6 kg/cm2 which i think is about 8 psi. I checked the intercooler couplers and they all seem tight. What else could have happened during the installation? I just removed the intake and intercooler. My boost gauge also reacts a lot faster i think because the vacuum hose had that was connected to the gauge wasnt on tight.

My 2nd problem (i dont know if its a problem or not) is that my temps during driving are between 100C and 110C. Its usually constant and it doesnt move up quickly or anything. Once it hits 110 my fans turn on (I think thats normal?) and it goes back down a little but still stays in the 100s. If i turn on the heater, my temps go down to about 95C. I really dont think im overheating or anything, but I dont want to be paranoid about my temps being so high. So are these temps normal for a near stock car or should i be worried? I'm gonna do the fan mod soon so that should help keep the temps down.

For the temperations I think 180-215 F. is normal and people don't usually start worrying till about 230 F. I think. DOIn't now about your boost though.

 

110 C converts to 230F so i would say you need to upgrade your radiator and start doing preventative maintence mods because that is really hot....100C is 212F and 95 is 203 C soo good luck dropping your temps ...the operating temp for the car is 180F ...well thats when the stock thermostat opens but yeah you deffinately should cool your car a bit more. Hope this helps oh and use the search button on cooling and temps it will help a lot

 

alright guyz, so far ive been driving it at night and i have much lower temps, not sure if its due to the fact that it was night time, but its much better. usually between 85-100. But yea i do need that radiator. Anybody know whats wrong with my boost? Could it be a faulty boost gauge? its an old greddy mechanical gauge

 

Probably a coupler that you left loose or something after the install. Go and check ever coupler, and check the MAP sensor hose just to be safe, and any other hoses that are in plain site. Also the coupler could be cracked and you wont know this unless you take them off.
