installed downpipe today

well I installed a downpipe on my '93 rx7, after reading some of the trouble some people had I figured I'd give it a shot after all It couldn't be any worse then installing headers on my '90 Z32.
And it wasn't it took 2hrs total , had no trouble with any of the nuts coming off I used a little PB Blast and it was pretty easy install.
I bought the Tsudo downpipe and heat wrapped it, already have the intake upgrade w/hardpipe kit aswell as 3 inch exhaust.
so looking forward to the test drive in the morning, already sounds louder just moving it out of the driveway.
anyway just thought some my want to know that it can be a fairly easy install to do yourself

You do NOT need an ECU upgrade with *just* a downpipe.

But I do recommend people pick up a PowerFC at the minimum, regardless of the car being stock or near stock.

he should still be fne running those three mods. However a boost controller should be there to prevent spikes but the ECU is really not needed now if you go by the ever so loved 3 mod rule. But sorry man that might be the last freebie power mod. Anything else and ur pushing it

yea downpipes are fun. i dont know how people take 5 days to install one. if i remember correctly the only tedious thing about it was the lower left bolt.

PB Blast rocks. I broke two downpipe studs clean off and then used pb blast on the remaining two and they came off like cheese...
