Arrow injector upgrade...

im going to be picking up a supra pump next week and im looking to upgrade my injectors. i figured i would go with 1300 secondaries. and im just looking for all around suggestions. i will be running a set of BNR stage 3's (not on the car at the moment) and maybe single in the next 6 months or so. my main question is should i run 850 primaries? whats the pros and cons of this? and with 1300s i wont have to modify or buy a new fuel rail right?...

You need a stand-alone ECU (PowerFC, Haltech, AEM, etc.) to run larger injectors. They won't work with the Pettit ECU you have now.

Cool avatar.

I'd think you would be fine at at least 10 psi but I don't know if anyone has ran the BNR 3's with only a chipped ecu. Just get a Power FC man...

well the main reason i want to put the bnr's on is to make sure they're not blown (what the previous owner told me) but he only had them on the car for an 1/8 mile after he blew his other set of turbos then he parked it and im thinking he thought these were blown bc of the smoke from where the other turbos blew...

It doesn't matter if the BNRs flow more than the stock turbos or not because you can't TUNE the Pettit ecu. You should be able to run 12-13 psi on the stock injectors just fine. The problem is that the BNRs DO flow more than stock, so you'll have to put the car on a wideband and make sure it's still safely rich.

Personally, I think you'll be just fine running 10-12 psi on the Pettit.

I ask this fairly often on the forum -- why do people buy mods and then can't buy something to run the mods safely? I can never figure it out.

that question wouldnt apply to me in this situation. the turbos came with the car when i bought it so the question goes to the previous owner. i want to make sure they arent blown so i can either plan on buying a PFC and injectors and settle with that for a while or if i decide to sell them i wouldnt want to sell them expensive if they're blown or cheap if they're not...

Gotcha. I think it will be fine at 10-12 psi with stock injectors and Pettit. A wideband measurement would be nice to do to verify safety.

You can't run them without a PFC or other standalone so why worry about it?

The only cons to them are they require milling down the primary fuel rail and that some people have had a tough time dialing in a smooth idle with them. The pros are that 850cc primaries combined with 1300cc secondaries can handle just about any single turbo at pump gas boost levels. With 850cc primaries, you shouldn't require 1600cc secondaries -- which require aftermarket fuel rail, pressure regulator, removal of emissions, etc.

why worry about it now? so ill know more about it later...so do you think 850/1300 is overkill on bnr's or some singles? in the long run i will be happy with about 385-400 rear wheel. if and when i get to that do you think 550/1300 be enough?...

550/1300 is plenty for 385-400 at the wheels, provided the car isn't tuned overly rich.
