Wow that is an expensive price. I am currently dealing with the Japanese auto auctions and that car is almost 2x as much as the auction price. Unless of course that price includes the homogolization charges + shipping then it's a good deal.

that's canadian price and includes shipping and out of province inspections.... Pretty useless in the US.... I wouldn't do it unless it's really cheap, and definately wouldn't do it for anything less than a spirit R in mint condition.

Not worth it, just get a US spec one and drive it where ever you want.

you know if you can do it then do it..... but when you could spend the same amount you could have a really nice USDM rx7, and you could still have that "cool factor" but in the long run its up to what you want...

LOL.

It's been done before, and it's possible. How much money do you have?

I personally think it's a waste unless it's a 98+ FD.

I highly doubt you will be able to get it registered for the street.

and you might want to wear one of these if you plan on asking questions without hitting the SEARCH button:

Because a lot of people are going to:

Because you are not the first person to think of doing this... and as such... there are already a ton of threads with the same exact questions.

Go search. This is me being nice... since it is JUST the interwebz.

tosh86's profile says he currently has a honda civic.

stick with the honduh brahhhh

seriously why does every civic driver want to import a RHD car? too much F&F movies if you ask me.

and anyway, you have like 6 posts and 5 of them are new threads that you started. you shouldn't hop onto a forum like this and start posting new threads left and right. use the search function!!! chances are, 99% of the questions you could come up with have already been asked.

heh google is fun:

It is definitely possible but I have never seen any evidence that it has ever been done for an FD.

You can find clear title rollers for around $4-6k right now. At that price you can afford to build the car how you like, not worry the authorities or the legalization of the whole process. I just dont get the love of the RHD stuff?

I test drove a 2001 Type R Bathurst once, and it's definitely a different animal from a stock US Spec. Not just talking about power, but the interior, the car as a whole. So i can see the desire to bring a 98 + Rx7 (Including the 98 RS-R), but nothing Series 6 or early 7 as the US one pretty much the same thing if not BETTER.

series 7 is better, simplified vacumm system, more power, 16bit ECU, better brakes?
did USDM 7's have the option for a 4.3LSD?

But those things are all bolt on stuff that can be upgraded, and really you can do the same to a US FD > Series 8. But, the Series 8 is such a much better package out of the box, i can see the desire to import one. Hell i want to at one point as a nice DD.
