If its not broke, dont fix it...
Well I just put a downpipe on not to long ago, and today I decided I'd take off the ever annoying AWS. I went and go a bypass cap, and a plug. I capped the nipple on the elbow, and plugged the hose. Went to start the car, car idled like crap, would like die and come back die and come back. Turned it off, noticed a little smokin, figure its from the on/off/on/off problem. I wasnt to disappointed, I just put the hose back on and said forget it. Well then I went to start the car again and same problem! Its idling awful and sounds pretty bad when I give it a little gas too. I assuming I just fouled a plug or something right? Also the smoke came through the engine bay from around the downpipe, I think the gasket could be a little bad, but I havent been to worried since I'm taking it in for a checkup (@ a rotary shop) soon and was going to have them look at it. I'm letting it cool down before I change the plugs but am I heading in the right direction here?
