I guess my first question would reference the title of the thread... out of the game for so long? I don't recognize you, sorry. THAT SAID...

Learn to do it yourself - these cars are fun and easy to work on.

You got yoked; right in the face. Sorry to hear.

I remember being new to the FD - and the internet. Got tugged a few times on sales, fockin crooks, and crappy labor. Hope you get it all straightened out.

Well, that was a business mistake on my part... I was talking more about falling victim to the bBoyJePiksta (and whatever other names he used) crooks that sold **** on here and other forums and never delivered. There was quite a few of us that were had.

Sorry to hijack your thread. I really hope you can get some of the money back from this expensive repair.

Damn! Your 14 year old car now has more money thrown into it than my 3 year old car. Wow!

Oh, and I can jump in my car and just go not having to bite my nails about not breaking something.

You got ripped off.

Man I feel sorry for you. I don't even own an FD (yet), but, you seriously, were bent over like a school boy. Wow.. Even if I had a 6 figure job, I wouldn't have paid $9K for all of that. Wow...again..Wow.

This inflation of labor is ridiculous, it does more than border fraud. It would be easy to prove by getting the labor tables by 3 or 4 shops and having them quote the same job.

Its possible that maybe to change the OMP itself is 1800, maybe, but he changed the oil pan, he changed the ps pump. A lot of these jobs can be done at the same time. Its like he charged them as separate jobs. Not to mention that you could easily do all these things by pulling the motor first, which for me, only takes 6 hours max.

LOL $120 to install a downpipe.

Sorry buddy.

Look closer, the total bill was like $14.3k

People have sold nicer FDs for that...

I don't understand how they sleep at night.

I think this guy is feeling a little "small" now as he has not posted any updates on what he plans to do if anything since he was made out to be a bit of a winner. **** if I go to Burger king and they short change me on my large fries, I become thier worst customer for the day! If i took my FD to a shop and they gave me a bill like that, I would seriously be asking if that included platinum plating of EVERYTHING otherwise I would be taking that bill and sticking up the shop owners ***!!!!!!!

If I knew the guy's name I would call the shop and ask about his bill. It really pisses me off when shops get over on people like this.

Well this is off topic, but I'm sure what the topic is so:

Whenever I get fast food, I count my change. I've been paying attention for years. So far, I have found that about 50%of all fast food workers short change the cash paying customers. Easier to just pay with amex.
