Idle Problem Persists!

So now I figured out that my TPS was broken on my throttle body I bought to replace my old one. So I took the bolts off that one and put it on the stock one and put that on the car. So now the lever actually opens and closes the butterflies how it should but now if I start my car it will rev at a lil over 2k. If I put the car into gear and hold the clutch down the RPM's will drop and will start to bounce from 1500 to 1700 consistantly. If I begin to let go of the clutch in gear the RPM's will drop until I let go of the clutch and eventually stall.

What does this sound like? Vacuum leak for sure? Something else? Also could the double throttle solenoid cause a vacuum leak if the nipples aren't blocked? I hear that it's not connecting to anything so a vacuum leak there shouldn't exist...bout to take carb cleaner to the car again!

Yeah when you installed the TPS, make sure that you check the voltages too.

Do you have a PFC? It'll be easy to read off the commander in the "check sensor" section...

Do you just drop into every thread on here and tell people to check their compression just because yours is bad?

A leaking LIM gasket can cause high and fluctuating idle.

So I took the carb cleaner out for a test and nothing. Now on to the TPS adjustment. Thanks for the input guys.

TPS adjustment is super important, it can help bucking issues at low speeds too. Check Damian's post in the 3rd gen archive.

Just a word to the wise, regarding my LIM leak, I never found it using an accelerant. I tried carb cleaner and propane. After removing the LIM, however, the gasket was clearly blown at both secondary intake ports. So I had TWO intake leaks. They were in a tough spot to reach with the accelerant. After the new gasket my high and fluctuating idle dropped so low I had to adjust the idle bleed screw. No doubt where the it had been futzed with to mask an intake leak.

HOLY **** this thread was amuzing, all he did was change and sensor and now he's got LIM leaks, and a weak motor,

The TPS wasn't calibrated so the ECU didn't know how to inject fuel for 35% throttle at 500-1000rpms, to the ECU hunts while the ISC goes nuts.

You are right. We got a bit off the point. But is possible he had multiple issues to start with. Good to have checks and balances though.
