Idle issue after Boost Controller install??

So I just purchased used Greddy Profec B Spec II from forum member here.
I spent about a week how to properly install this boost controller researching this forum and google.
I connected the vacuum hoses like version 2 diagram, connect 2 nipples from turbo housing to T connect and send to 'NO' side of control unit and connect 'COM' side to T connect to both actuator and wastegate control.

For another vacuum wire for fuel pressure regulator, I cut current vacuum hose I was using for turbo gauge under the dash, installed T connect, and used it for boost controller.

As for electric wire, I put spade shape insert on red wire to fuse slot under the dash and black wire to ground.

I started the car and idle was good, boost controller came on and set the set value to zero on both lo & hi.
I drove around the city and highway, boost was creeping more than 10 psi (up to 15psi, but I let off and drove easy afterwards)
I just did more reading and found I didn't cap the wastegate control and PCA.
I will do this tomorrow after I get off work and see if it'll help.

After I got off highway, I stopped by gas station and checked under the hood to make sure I connected the hoses properly.
Then I started the car back, car started right away but idle rough where it was about to shut off.
On the way back, I had battery chage light on (light was dimmed for some reason.)

Finally came back to my garage, I disconnected the red & black wire for boost controller to see if idle goes back to normal, it didn't.

So the questions are.....

1. Would capping the wastegate control and PCA fix the issue of boost spike?
2. What would cause the idle to go rough and have battery charge light on? Maybe alternator went bad?
3. I also heard some sort of cracking noise when I opened the engine bay, which sounded like coming from AST (Which I still have OEM) and looked around for leaking, there was none. How would I know if AST is not functional if it doesn't look like it's cracked?
4. Simple set up for this boost controller?

My current mods are : downpipe, cat-back, IC pipe, 99 y pipe.
I really need help.

check all your vacuum lines again, and especially the vac. hose going to the map sensor. I know you probably didn't touch this during the install, but just double check in case when you overboosted to 15psi, it could of knocked it off or anything that was loose to begin with.

I will check that once I get off work.

But I still can't figure out the idle issue.
During the idle, something kept flickering and felt like it was going to shut off.
Starts fine without hesitation though.

Hitting 15 PSI could cause some issues if you dont have an aftermarket ECU/supporting fuel modifications to run that safely.. Make sure you didnt lean out and mess something. Quick compression check might not hurt

Any reason why you are running a boost controller with a stock ecu? Are you trying to increase or lower the boost? In my opinion the Spec II is a piece of garbage. It doesn't work well with stock twins or fast spooling turbos. You can use the actual solenoid that comes with it and a PFC. That works better in my opinion.

I got it because I just purchased mid pipe as well.
So to prepare for that, I installed the boost controller.
I only want to stay in stock boost level even with mid pipe.

Also got the boost controller for good price.

Update:

So I capped both wastegate control and pre control actuator.
I started the car and the car still has an issue with flickering sound.
I believe the flickering sound is coming from air pump during idle.
Also I smelled something after warm up.
It smelled sweet to me, but my buddy said it smelled like surfur / firecracker.

What would cause it to smell like this?
Overboosting 2-3 times might have done this?

I couldn't test the boost controller since I was bit scared of this funny smell.
I will do compression test when tester is available.

Update:

I purchased another alternator and installed it yesterday.
Hooked up jump cables and started, it struggled first, but started and sounds strong.
Since I capped off the actuator sides, boost hasn't gone more than 11.5.
I have boost spool issue at beginning, so I still need to spend some time setting up the controller.

I haven't noticed the smell yesterday, but overall, 7 is running strong once again.

Would there be any power gain if I add a mid pipe, even though boost is controlled at 10psi?
