Turning off 02 feedback

I installed my PFC and as recommended to me (as i have no airpump etc) I have turned off 02 feedback.

Does this render the 02 sensor useless? Essentially plugging an exhaust leak? If so can I pull the sensor our and pop in my other 02 sensor for a wideband?

Thanks

Awesome! That will save me from having to weld in a bung for the Air/Fuel sensor...
