an idea about passing emissions

Hey every1,
I got to thinking about ways to easily pass emissions with my car since its due up In december. If you ran 0 boost, would it help you pass? Since there would be less gas burned, you'd have less exhaust products, right?
lemme know if this would be a way to help me pass.

Thanx,
Zach

As long as you at least have a catalytic converter and working airpump, you shouldn't have any trouble passing emissions. You should have no problems with your setup. Running no boost won't make a difference, because the dyno operator shouldn't give it enough gas to put you into boost in the first place. Since you have a boost gauge, you can instruct him to make sure it stays in vacuum. At 0psi the fuel maps switch over to closed loop and you'll get a big jump in HC counts. Make sure your plugs are fresh, air filter is clean, and that the airpump is working, and you should be fine. If you can't pass, running denatured alcohol in the gas tank is a sure way to pass (you could pass with a midpipe if you use enough), although this shouldn't be necessary, and if it is, you have something wrong with the car.

My brotha, come over here, let me talk to you. Now there's this stuff that EVERYONE likes, and I mean EVERYONE. It's called MONEY. So watcha gotta do is get your *** in your car, do NOT dress like you got a lot of money and go to your nearest smog test station. Now when you talk to the tech, act dumb. Act surprised when he tells you there is no way it can pass. That's where this money thing comes in to play. So you ask him "Shiet, what am I gonna do? OK man, look, I REALLY need to get this done TODAY. How much would it cost to get it done?

I thing you'd be surprised. And guess what? My proven system gets my car smogged every 2 years out here in CA.

Good luck bro.

Put a couple gallons of denatured alcohol in the tank to help hydrocarbon emissions :-D

Can someone tell me what denatured alcohol is?

Where can I get some?

How will this stuff affect the car?

Will I be able to pass smog with just a dp, cb, and blitz smic?

thanks
