icing stock ic????
i'm planning on taking my car to the dragstrip this weekend after i get my new clutch installed. i have pettit streetport,ecu,full exhaust,intakes etc. i still have the stock ic though and was thinking of tie wrapping a large ice pack to the intercooler when i make my runs. any body tried this? am i crazy? bad idea?

I know this has to sound so dumb and so scary but Iwas actually thinking about this the other day. then I decided that the ice would probably melt by the time I was staged. Then Melts the bag. Lots of water and steam in engine bay. Then I thought about dry ice....It would look like your car was having some serious issues when you see al those white vapors coomin out.....crazy

What if you put one of those ice packs, that are solid plastic with water in them that you can freeze, on top of the intake duct where the hole is? Would that give you some cooler air for the intercooler or just be a waste?

Try to locate some dry ice and break it up and stick it into the stock duct by way of the hole on top. And then of course seal up the hole before you're run. I think that would work much better than cube ice.
