Just to share my story..

I drive mine every so often and I stopped to fill up at a gas station. As I was filling her up, one dude prolly early to mid 30s gets out of female driven car from the rear passenger side, approaches me/my FD and goes.. "Wow.... Wow... Wow........ I can't believe I am seeing an RX7 in person this close! I saw you this morning driving down the road going in opposite direction. She is beautiful, man."

While I did appreciate his comments, I was a bit concerned how much attention this thing was generating that someone I have never met would remember which direction I was going at which time of the day.

Have you all ever been concerned how much attention these machines of ours attract?

I think you are over concerning yourself. Its not that hard to remember a car that one admires going the opposite direction as we are headed some place. Put it this way: Do you remember where you went yesterday? Of course you do... What if on your way there you spotted a Ferrari Enzo are you gonna tell me that you are going to forget that? No way. In fact you'd probably be able to tell me exactly what time it was and what exact road because those events stick out on our minds.

Yes actually but not with my RX-7. But my 71 ghia and some guy was sneaking around in my driveway checking out the car in the middle of the night. Not very comfortable to say the least.

Last month alone 2 guys at random times woke me up(I work nights, these were during the day) and asked me if I wanted to sell my car. My car was brought back from the dead(previous owner did a number on the engine and took out almost everything in it's path). Just because it looks like a work in progress mean it is cheap, I spent more on the engine than they spent on their car they rolled up in. Now that I'm done with the engine(new housings, shaft, irons, bearings, engine harness, ceramic seals), I'm going to be restoring exterior and interior. Hopefully once the exterior is done, they won't think it will be cheap.

I suppose so. If I saw an FD, I would remember. I have two friends who lost their heavily modified Jeeps parked in a shopping mall in an affluent area, they were never found. I am a bit paranoid ever Since.
