I need Someones Help

When I am driving my car everything is fine, but when i go to slow down and push in the clutch the car starts to rev up and rev down (between 1000 to 1500 back and forth) constantly until I come to a complete stop. Even if I am rolling it still does it, everyone I talk to doesn't know what it could be maybe someone could help? thanks

Could be a TPS problem or the clutch switch. Do some searching and do a little investigating on your car. Shouldn't be too hard to get sorted out.

The part of the wiring harness that plugs into the TPS on my car was bad and it was doing pretty much the same thing. Do you have a power fc, because you can watch the tps voltage.

Also, be aware that the stock ECU holds the engine RPM slightly higher than normal idle speed until the car comes to a stop. Like maybe 300 RPM high, not floating up and down like you've described.

Could be a bad clutch switch. I had a similar problem, and replaced the clutch switch. It didn't resolve my problem, but it has helped others with a similar problem. I now have a good used clutch switch. PM me if you want it for cheap.

Adjust your idle. That'll fix your problem for sure.

Mine was clutch switch. Idle adjust didn't touch it. This is NOT the switch all the way at the end of the pedal travel, but instead the one on top of the pedal. It feeds a signal to the ECU, which compares vehicle speed, gear position, electrical load, and clutch position. In the absence of clutch switch signal, electrical load and car in gear at low speed will cause idle speed control solenoid to fluctuate it's position, thus cycling vacuum, and the idle hunts. I replaced the 1-2 switch and neutral switch on my tranny, and it still had the problem. Swapped the clutch switch, and all was sunshine

10-15 minutes. No big deal. Just have to get under the dash.

get a meter to check it it will take 10 sec to see if the switch close and opens like it should. the major reason our cars have such shitty reps is people just shotgun parts at it all the damn time...
