I need help with my next video. Combustion, AFR, cooling, and WBO2 oh my!

So my next video is going to be a bit harder to produce.

I need some discussion on what makes the cut into 4 minutes of eyegasmic rotary education.

I have my designers involved on this one, they are rendering 3D animations of the combustion chamber.

Problem... I mean challenge. I am not an expert on all of the inner workings. Can you guys give me some thoughts on what should be in the short video and/or insight into explaining it accurately.

It will be 3rd gen friendly because I want to cover the basic effect of boost. I guess that is 2nd gen too.

Those are huge topics. What points are you trying to get across?

you know that there are some good, accurate 3d renderings already, right?
There is some on here:
http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/index.php
and there were more elsewhere.

I want to do an introduction to the engine. You know those simplified type of explanations mythbusters do about complex topics. I would do advanced topics from there, but i want to make a narrative introduction.

I love the rotary engine illustrated website. I might ask them if i can use their copyrighted information for some of the animations.

I didn't understand a rotary engine until I had one in front of me, disassembled. It would be cool if you had some junk housings and rotors to show stuff like the bath tub shaped combustion chamber.

I kind of liked these videos. They were basic, and to the point.

sexy. I want to do some situational based animations. Like: what happens when a seal breaks, what does more boost pressure do, or how does adjusting the afr affect tempurature.

I too would recommend a series of video's... Basics, advanced, and of course forced induction.

Props man!

awesome. Just to let you guys know, i am making animations for specific situations. not just how the engine works. So if anyone wants to see more technical situations, let me know. I will need help explaining some of them.

For example, i want to show the effect of knock on the engine. I know the basics, but im fuzzy on the details.

Or water and methanol injection. That one thread is excellent, i would love to animate that. accurately of course.

I love controversy, but i hate to spread misinformation :-)

resurrecting, because my team quickly reconstructed a rotary engine in 3D. You name a situation, and i can animate it... given that i understand the situation first :-P
