i need help with my fd
alright so i have a 94 fd type R twin turbo that is japan specs and all it has done to the engine is the full hks exhaust and the two trust intakes and everything had been goin just fine the first couple weeks that i had it and then i took it out to a car show that had a quarter mile track on it so i took it out there to see what i could run. i was running the whole day without any problems and then on the very last race of the night i took off and everything went smoothly through first and second gear but when i got to about 5500 rpms in third gear, the engine just gave and then died. when it died i tried to restart it but i was unable to. after hours of checking the engine and the hoses and everything i was able to get it startd but it would idle at 400 rpms and then it would die it i didnt have my foot on the gas. so i really dont know what is wrong with it but if anyone has anything that they think it could be then i would really appreciate it if u would help me out

yea thats what i was told to do by one of my friends so im gonna get that done but do u really think thats all i need to check for is just the apex seals?? or do u think there could be other things that i need to check for??

full exhaust... downpipe, midpipe and catback?
Does it have a PFC and supporting fuel mods? If not, you could have run lean and popped an apex seal.

Only the most important seal in your engine.
Do you know what boost levels you were running? If you were flogging on an FD with mods before researching it, I fear this may have been an expensive lesson.

I don't think that's all there is to check. However, if you blew the motor, there is no sense in looking at anything else so it's always best to start with the compression check. You get the worse scenario tested first.

I wonder ... why would you actually go and check out his MySpace page?!? I can't believe you went out of the way just to find something else to flame him about !! Anyways, going back to the original post, check your enegine compression, and don't pay attention to some haters in the forum.

yeah doesn't sound good bro.
just like everyone else has said get a compression check, but to me it sounds like you blew the engine so just don't get your hopes up.
Edit- I just saw that you are from temecula. pm me if you don't have shop that you trust or know.
