I know you're going to hate this thread
I know a lot of you are going to hate this thread because of the pictures, but it's just for "example"
Anyways, I'm really in the search for some wheels for my FD. Now what I'm looking for is hard because I want something "blingy" I guess you could say, but not too "blingy" that it takes away from the performance of the car. A perfect example of wheels that I want are HRE's or iForged Aeros but I just don't have the money to spend 3-4k just on wheels.
I've gone to AutoRnD and talked to Dana (great guy) and just seems like the wheels I want are always one of the most expensive ones. I love the AME Circular in the mirror buff finish, but those are out of my price range too.
So I went down to basically a "pimp my ride wheel shop" and just tried to find a wheel that had the "design" that I wanted. I want a simple and clean 5 spoke wheel with a nice lip. I don't like the mesh looking wheels at all. Anyways, I just took pictures of the wheels "on" my FD for you guys to get an idea of what I want.
Please do not flame me, these were for "viewing" purpose only! I know you guys HATE chrome "pimp" wheels on our FD's, I just want something a little "bling bling" and clean, please help!

What's the point of this thread exactly? If you want some "blingy" wheels, just buy them. Any inexpensive "blingy" wheels are going to be heavy cast wheels. Them's the facts.
If you want inexpensive wheels that are good looking and are still quality and lightweight, you should be looking at 5Zigen FN-01RC, SSR Comps, SSR GT-2s, SSR GT-7s. Otherwise, just pick out some blingers that fit properly.
EDIT: Actually, if you want good quality wheels for less, keep an eye out for used wheels. Lots of good deals out there....

Ok, I've been looking around and I came upon these wheels. Now I can get the gram lights for around 1.6k for 18x9 fronts and 18x10 rears, just the matter of if 18x9 will fit in front.
I also have some other pictures here. I know the Gram Light 57Pros and Volk GT-C's but the others I don't know the model nor the price of them. I'm guessing most of these wheels are going to be really expensive, but here are pictures of them

Would those work on an FD? What offset would I have to get? I love the lip on them. I'd likely get 18x8.5 and 18x9.5

Another guy who bought somewhat like these kind of wheels, said he ran 265 in the rears, but said they stick out a little so he wish he went 275. Do you think that'd be wise? I'm leaning towards Hyper Black finish.

That's the thread there with pictures of his wheels from Ruff Racing.

275/35s are 3/4" larger than stock in diameter...further increasing speedo error and lowering the final drive ratio over the 265/35s.
Given that those Ruff Racing wheels probably weigh in the upper 20 lb range, I would try to minimize the weight increase and stick with 265/35s. You are already going to be losing a noticeable bit of straightline performance and nimbleness going with those heavy wheels.

this is a pic of my rims. the brand is long champs. they're from japan. 17by8.5 and 17by9.5
I think 18's would look great, but can't find any information on Long Champs?

Ok, I've gone through 260+ yes, 260+ cardomains for the FD's and have saved these pictures of the wheels on the cars that I thought had potential. I know there are multiple pictures of each car, but let me know which ones you like. I like all of them. Some of them are you can tell more for just show (the bling bling) but I like the way they look.
Also, the wheels that are gold, I wouldn't get gold, they'd be silver or a polish if they come in that.
First one, are wheels made by Long Champs in Japan. Anyone heard of them?
Second wheels are ADR Cyphers
3rd-5th are Gram Light 57Pro's?

here are some more...
Anyone know what kind the first two picture's wheels are? Yes I know bling bling on the first two (btw are those 19's?), but I like the design and look they give the FD.
3-5th pictures are Volk GT-C's right?

Budget is going to be 2.5k with wheels and tires most likely. I probably can't afford some of the wheels in the pictures, but I was just showing the ones I liked so people can get a feel.

Did you even look at the wheels I recommended? You can pick up very high quality SSR GT2s on clearance right now at www.tirerack.com with tires for about $2400-2500 shipped. They don't have a big lip but are the highest quality wheels in your budget and they are very nice 5-spoke wheels.
Other than that, I'm sure Auto RnD could set you up with a set of Gram Lights....
