Unhappy Wideband 101 ?!?!?!

Ok i have been trying to research the inovative wideband components but its like reading Jiberish to me......can you say confusing!!

A member of the forum is selling an item of the Inovative kit but from reading there is two parts to the kit for actuall tunning.

What i need to know is what kit is best for me, the LM-1 or the LC-1?

Also which one is better, it seems the LM-1 comes with a big readout box but the LC-1 doesnt, so whats the difference?

If you guy could give a nice explanation in laymens terms on this setup that would be great. Then if this doesnt sell i can grab it from the buyer. As much info you can think of as it will help out others looking into wideband someday.

If descriptions of the products are confusing, have you looked at their training videos?

From what I understand (and I may be wrong) the LC-1 (cable only) is sufficient for hooking a wideband sensor up to a guage or engine managment system.

The LM-1 can log the data and interface to a computer to display the data. But it appears you also can interface the LC-1 directly to a laptop with a serial cable (described in the manual) and use Innovate's LogWorks software. I guess the LM-1 is for tuners that don't have laptops?

You can get the manuals for each one online.

I'd go with the LC-1 if I was buying one to keep running in the car all the time. It wasn't available when I bought my LM-1 nor was the add on guage. I ran mine all the time so the LC-1 would have been the cheaper choice.

If I was just using a wideband to tune only and then removing it from the car, I'd buy the LM-1. Everything is self contained in the LM-1 box and you don't have to hard wire it in.

Both kits come with the logworks CD and both kits can be linked to your labtop.
