dude u dont really need a new radiator at all. spend the money on making sure your car is running how it should. first off get a boost gauge and toruble shoot any boost problems. next get a water temp gauge and troubleshoot cooling problems. do the fan mod. make sure you are running 180 MAX with fans on (sine youre close to stock) if youre over that temp then u got some problems either missing rad underbelly, fans not working properly or intercooler shroud missing. after those are said and done... you have a good *** running fd better than most stock fd's out there. TAKE MY WORD....... UPGRADED RADIATORS WHEN STOCK IS OVER RATED! you wont need one till ur around the 350hp range

downpipe is an very good call though. good chance u have a clogged cat so that menas slower spooling which means full boost later than normal. watch your air/fuel though. an airfuel gauge is also good call too. jsut do tons of research before you spend money man.

The aluminum radiator will not burst like a stock one can. Which isn't a major problem if your stocker is low mileage.
I had a fluidyne purchased and ready to install until I found a stock rad on eBay with practically no miles on it for $100. I sold the fluidyne, and if my stocker ever cracks and leaks, I'll put in another stocker and get another 60k out of it.
I also found a new stock AST - I'm thinking of swapping that with the aluminum one for similar reasons.

seriously though, a thicker core radiator is more important (in a car that runs hot...I don't know if your track/autoX) than hoping a "prone to fail stocker" with low miles doesn't fail.
be done with it...and give your cooling capacity some breathing room.
this is only my opinion, but I consider cooling a turbo rotary almost #1 priority (only say almost, because oil is really important too, and 1/3 of cooling...and can probably think of something more important if I thought long enough)
