Julia Won't start =( info inside

So I went out to work on the car for a bit and after I was done I figure what the hell, lets go for a spin. And to my suprise she wouldn't start. That has never happaned to me, the engine was trying to turn over but it just wouldn't happan. I drove the car a few days prior so I am stumped. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but it was about 45 degrees today so it was pretty cold. I tried searching but for some reason't it said "won't start" has no results and I know that can't be right. If anyone has any suggestions let me know,

Well, what were you working on before you decided to drive it around?

Thats the thing, it wasn't even something technical. I was just changing my pod for my boost gauge and putting on my aluminum AST.

First thing to check is the battery voltage. Connect a voltmeter right across the battery terminals. If you can, watch it when you engage the starter. If it drops a lot (below 11V) check the battery post connections. They get oxydation on the posts. You need one of those wire brushes to clean them properly - the kind that has a round hole on one end and a round brush on the other - they clean the inside of the battery clamps and the battery posts. If that doesn't help, the battery may be worn out. Charge it and see if it accepts and holds a charge.

Oxydized battery posts will cause a lot of problems, including poor charging. Because the rotary engine is so easy to start (draws little current compared to a piston engine) battery problems tend to sneak up on us.

By "won't turn over" do you mean it doesn't crank?
or do you mean it cranks but won't start. Two completely different sets of possible fixes.

If it cranks but won't start, it may be flooded, especially if you ran it last for just a few minutes.

If it won't crank, the battery may be low or bad connections as David Beale said.

It cranks but doesn't start, so if it is flooded, how do I go about fixing that?

I beleive I read somewhere that if it is indeed a bad main fuse that the cluster won't light up and that isn't the case. I was just out giving it another try with no luck, I guess I'll give pulling the spark plugs a try tomorrow.

First if you think its flooded, just hole the gas pedal down (floor it) and crank for 15 seconds. See if she starts or gets any closer to starting.

Take out all the plugs, pull the EGI relay or fuel pump fuse and crank for 15secs to let all the gas get out of the motor. Do this about 3times. Buy yourself a set of turbo2 plugs non platinum 9s all around and then try starting her.. Also make sure your map sensor is connected correctly.

Oops, I meant "hold" but you got the point.

Heres a deflooding procedure:

http://www.fd3s.net/starting_flooded.html

I would skip step five at first and use this as a last resort.

Also you may get lucky by just pulling the fuel relay and trying again.

Good Luck Buddy.
