I Hate My Car!
Well besides the cooling problems now, it seems I have a slow drain on my battery that leaves it dead overnight... The only thing that I could see causeing the problem would be something around the Alternator and Starting Harness... Quick question. Does the knock sensor plug into a connector on this harness?

don't race, don't need to
No, the knock sensor plugs into the ECU harness that comes across the top of the engine. The plug is pretty burried under the hoses that run to the oil filler tube area...

Also make sure that wqhen you leave the car for the night that you get the doors all the way closed. If they are not closed the dome light stays on and will kill the battery. Did this with my car and missed a class the next day at school. Does your car have an alarm besides the factory one? They also draw on the battery, and if it is getting weak that may kill it.

Oh I was thinking this is something I am going to do and maybe we all should do....
Get a friend and go out somewhere where it is safe to put the car to the test. Get him to video it and maybe ask you a few questions on camera like how was it? Do you like this car? How much would you sell it to me for right now. etc. and then take the video and put it on the shelf. That way when the bad times come and the car has been driving you crazy and you havent gotten to take it out in a while you can pull the video and watch it, see the big smile on your face, and think "I have got to get this car back in shape!"
I just went through a 3 month down period and I was getting kinda down on my car by the end but now that I have it back on the road better than ever it was all worth it!
