Thumbs up I found an awesome interior cleaner

I've tried numerous interior cleaners in the past and not been happy with any of them. They fade within a few days, leaving my black door panels and dash looking faded and tired. I'm jealous of my friend Nick's 94.....he has the updated interior surface, and his shines right up with armor-all.

I've had a bottle of Meguiar's Natural Shine Vinyl and Rubber Protectant in my garage for a long while now and have used it on trim pieces with pretty good success. Yesterday, something made me try it on my driver's side door panel. Wow. The stuff works great! It restored the color to my interior--now it's a deeper black, with a faint shine to it. As I went around my interior with it, I could see an immediate difference.

Just on initial impressions, I recommend trying this stuff. I'm going to see if it's effects last---I know when I've used it on trim pieces it has held up well. It comes in a 10 oz red pump bottle, for those interested.

I only use Meguiar's products on my 93, and have had great success with all of them. I too use the Natural Shine Vinyl and Rubber Protectant, it does work great, and it smells nice too!

Looking forward to seeing you and your 7 at the MSR event later this month!

The tan interior is really difficult to keep looking new. When it rains, and you open the hatch, all the water goes right down the back of the interior. When it dries, it leaves little stain marks that are a bitch to get off. I bought another car, so I don't have to drive it everyday anymore, so I don't have to worry as much about it. Still a pain in the *** though. I'll try anything to keep it looking good.

I have been using the same stuff on my interior since I got the car last year.. also use the Meguiar's Endurance on the tires, that stuff works excellent.

Works great on the Tan interior. If you have really bad stains, you might want to use something that is a little stronger, but once it is clean, the Meguiar's is great at shining the plastic back up, and protecting it from future stains!

Good luck

Another good thing to use on trim and interior pieces is Honda polish. I use it on my bike's metal and plastic pieces, cleans and waxes without using any water at all. Was out of armor all and sprayed it on my dash, gives it almost the shine as armor all, but doesn't make it look wet or feel slippery or greasy.

Pick it up at Honda dealers, pretty cheap too.

I HATE having my interior panels having any type of "shiny" look. I think that makes the interior look cheap. Is there any product out with which cleans and yet keeps a "dry" look?

Aristo the Meg. does keep it from shining to bright. It will have a like new luster with out the gleam from a polish. On a side note, I know it says you can use it on the tires but don't. After a day or a drop of water gets on your tires it goes away. Stick with a small amount of the gel stuff you apply and that works great.

Yes ... it's called body soap + dish sponge + water.

Most of the marketing for car care products is pure genius.

Did I mention about how stupendous my new Fikses are? They are the absolute bestest rim in the history of the world; without parallel in the annals of history. I highly recommend them to all my FD Brethren....an FD3S for every man, and Fikses shall adorn them as they travel at a high velocity to the furthest reaches of the earth

LOL..I tried that already..sometimes I use a soft damp cotton cloth and just wipe gently. But it seems this approach seems to subtly lighten the black door panels (these fade very easily). Maybe I'm just so picky I dont know what the hell I want. I just want a nice even black colored dash and doors without any shine to them. I've since resorted to just using a feather duster on the interior (ridiculous).
