I can't believe the difference the front shock tower bar makes

I have been taking off my front shock tower bar a lot lately to get easier access to the ic elbow. for the first time I drove the car today with the bar off. wow, the car felt sloppy as hell. I just thought I would share...

I added one to my base model and noticed a big difference in front-end stiffness and steering feedback, too. I had read some comments that it didn't make much difference before, but my experience was in contrast to that opinion. Similarly, SS brake lines firmed up my pedal pretty well, despite some reports that it didn't make much difference.

Perhaps it depends on how stiff your tires are (for the strut bar), or how old your rubber brake lines are (for the SS lines).

I certainly noticed a difference when I added my strut tower brace. The car immediately felt crisper to steering inputs and the front end seemed more like a single piece.

I didn't notice much of a difference when going to SS brake lines but I had those done when I was still pretty new to the car.

I haven't driven mine without because I heard that it does feel really sloppy. Some like it, some don't

I took mine off for 2 months then it wouldnt fit back on properly. I had to adjust it to get it to fit. I think my car is slowly melting or something. It's those bloody turbos

I'm trying to find a way to triangulate my Cusco brace with the firewall to get it even stiffer. Any suggestion?

Me too; and that's just on the street. On the track with rubber it made a huge difference.
