i broke a wire near oil pressure sender

i was changing my plugs and my hand slipped, taking this wire with it.

its a single wire, blue, with a grey sheething, and little white plug. its just below the plugs and runs directly into the bottom of the block, but i cant find where the other end of the wire is, the end that came out of the little white plug and (i think) runs towards the firewall towards the driver.

any suggestions on what wire it may be or where it runs to? if i can find the other end i can just solder it back together.

It will be either the water temperature sensor or the knock sensor.

checking the pictures in the FSM, this seems to be the right wire... but where does it go from here? it broke off right at the white plug. i cant find a good diagram showing its path.

Yep, it's a short run so it shouldn't be hard to track down.

Same thing happened to me recently, only I was un-lucky and ripped the wire right out of the sensor

I had to buy a new sensor and replace the unit.
