I bet nobody has had this problem!
Ok, I seem to have the wierdest problems with this car. A couple months ago I noticed that when I turned on my parking lights or lights for that matter my seatbelt light as well as my security light would sometimes come on. This was somewhat annoying but could be dealt with if there seemed to be no other problems. Well it has taken it one step further and now it is unbearable. Today while driving down the road with my parking lights on the lights popped up and my horn started to blow. (It blows constantly and not in bursts.) It scared the poop out of me, but when I got it together enough to switch the lights off it went away. I thought that is odd and I tried to turn them back on and it did the same thing. What is the most odd about it is that when I switch the car off and turn the lights on the horn doesn't blow and when on parking lights the headlights don't pop up. I am thinking that it is my security ecu because everything so far has a center there from what I see. What do you experts out there think.

Simple.. Your car is possessed by the devil.
I get weird electrical problems in mine, but only when it's cold outside. My hazard will flash every 3 seconds or so, when the hazard button isn't in.. The seatbelt warning is opposite what it should be.. off/on. A few others..
But the horn thing would bother me a bit more. Unfortunately I suck at electrical stuff.

Since the security indicator, the headlights, and the horn (not sure about the parking lights) are all in the alarm circuit, I would start there.
I wonder if you can disconnect the alarm (remove the fuse?) and see what happens then.

Ok here is an update on the problem. I have since been able to silence the demons in car (so far). What I did was disconnect the battery for about an hour in order to discharge the capacitor and reset the security ecu. Like I said this has seemed to work and I am not complaining. There doesn't seem to be a way to just disconnect the security ecu or the security system because that same ecu controls other important functions like door lock actuators as well as some stuff to do with the lights. I initially pulled the hazard fuse just to get rid of the horn but this also does away with the blinkers so I am glad this glitch worked its way out so far.
The car isn't lowered but the devil always seems to find his way in reguardless. I am now in the hunt for a way to get rid of what seems to be the fluttering of my wastegate solenoid. it makes for a choppy secondary boost that makes the car vibrate quite a bit when it is on. On the dyno it looks just like a wave but I don't know which way to adjust the duty cycle to get it out. If this is the only problem I have with the car for the next month I will be happy however. If somebody can offer me a solution for this I would appreciate it because I am stuck.

Check your wiring harness... I bet thats where all your problems are. J9FD3s asked if your car was lowered because if it is, your tires could have rubbed your wiring harness out and cause some things to short out. If not, then your car is possessed by the devil

aftermarket alarms are cheap, and NEVER installed correctly, so they can cause all kinds of strange problems too

Ding Ding Ding we have a winner...I think. About 4 months ago my strut colapsed and I had to let it go for a couple of weeks before fixing it. In the mean time it had rubbed through the fender liner and into the wire harness a bit. I just through some tape over it and a new liner. I bet this is where the problem is. Thanks for all your help. This is a big bit of insight to have. Do you know of any other way to get to it other than to rip that liner back out?

I read this thread and i am having somewhat of a similar problem. my cars horn started honking when i would make right turns. i didnt mind cause it was just a short burst and then it was done but today it got worse. i was driving straight and it just started going off. i pulled over and it stopped and then when i started driving again and turned it started again. the horn doesnt work by pressing the buttons on the steering wheel. i have to fix this asap cause i cant drive with the horn blaring all the time. i have an 87 if that makes any difference, any help would be appreciated.

Yea... I would run the car on and wiggle some main wiring harnesses around the main harness or near your ecu and all that crap... then you can pin point it from there.

Make sure everything is grounded properly. However, my electrical problem consisits of the e-brake light coming on after I hammer it. After I come to a stop for a few seconds, the light goes off again. I'm not worried about it because I think the sensor is loose or broke. I can have the e-brake on and it doens't come on.
