Boost problem-6psi sometimes 10psi

At last weekends auto x I was only making 6 psi most of the time. Sometimes it would kick up to the full 10. This caused me to spin out once, and I almost lost control a few times.
I changed all check valves to the Dale Clark specials a few months ago.
Pressure and vaccum chambers both check good. I get a hiss when lines are removed with the engine off. I replaced all the lines around them when I did the check valves earlier to take care of a previous boost issue.
I can get full boost on the highway, or if I start out, let off the gas, then hit the gas again.
I'm thinking I got a lazy turbo control solenoid. Any other ideas?

sorry to get off the subject but i thought that i would pop in and say hi to larz.. i was the fd owner that came and talked to you at the auto x event . ive never been to an auto x before, i cant wait to finish rebuilding my motor so i can give it a try next year.

aside from your boost issues how did you end up doing overall?

as for your boost issue i notice that you are still running the stock ic and radiator i was just curious if that could have caused some of you boost issues since it was hot as hell that day. im running a different ic and radiator but i still notice a drop in pressure on a nice hot day.

You need to replace the check valve that leads to the pressure chamber or possibly the hose or tank has a split in it. Something is leaking causing you to loose pressure.

I'm running a koyo radiator. I did alright, getting 59s. An SRT beat me in index times.
I did the "hiss test" on the chambers. They appear to be intact. I'll double check them. Whenever I've had a boost leak, it has caused me not to be able to build to pressure at all. I've had a coupler pop before and that's what happened.
