Look more like a trans or diff drain bolt.

If you were hoping to fit that to your oil pan then I have bad news for you....

Per the item description: "This is a Super Drain Bolt from RE tuning specialist, R-Magic. These R-Magic units are equipped with a strong magnet to collect floating metal in your transmission/differential oil. This will increase the life of your drivetrain. These can be used to replace drain bolts on your transmission and/or differential."

Maybe they’re not “Super” but don’t the OEM drain plugs have magnets?

No. You said the same thing back in 2009 btw

Click on that thread for various engine oil drain plugs with magnets. I worked with Dimple, a veteran owned biz, on both the Miata and RX7 drain plug back in the day.

I understand that the OP was looking for a magnetic OIL drain plug…but got one for the transmission/differential.
My comment referred to the OEM transmission and differential drain plugs. Both have magnets. You said as much in the same thread…

That’s why I was puzzled as to why there were even aftermarket versions of the same thing. What makes them “Super”?
