i am thinking of putting my turbo timer & boost control inside the driver-door bin... but i don't want to drill any holes to run the wires... anyone have a better idea???

 

Their are some wires and such in your door already, for the door locks, alarm, window control, etc. The front of the door where the hinges are near the bottom. There should be a black boot. You can try to run the additional wires through this.

With the boost controller it may be hard to run this line in the boot, so making a small incision on the door side of it, and then slipping the line through to the controller might work. Just make sure you have enough slack in the line where if you open the door its not going to pull on the line and put wear and tare on it.

 

Yep. The stock stereo speaker wires run there too. I recommend getting a device called a "wire fish", and it will simplify your endeavor tremendously. Take the door panel off, fish the wire from the door thru the boot and into the kick-panel area of the car's interior. Hook your wires you are wanting pulled to the fish, and then CAREFULLY pull the fish with the wires attached back thru the boot and into the door.
It IS pretty tight in there. And as FierceAlien noted, make SURE you have plenty of slack.

 

A fish tape might help but i've had good luck using nylon 1/8" boost line as a fish tape.

 

You can't "fish" wires all the way through from the door to the kick-panel, there is a bulkhead connector in the way. If you pull the rubber boot back on the body side you can unplug the connector at that point. There are unused "sockets" in the existing connector (X-20) you could utilize. See the factory wiring diagram, p. Z-117 for the X-20 connector pin-out.

 

I actually found connector x-20 on page z-123 in the 1994 wiring diagram

 

This would also be a good time to run new speaker wiring. The factory wiring is pretty small for quality sound.

Placing these items in the door seems more trouble than their worth. Have you considered the extra DIN pocket? Or above your steering column?
