I finish in 4th most of the time. I have run out 3rd a few times. I have noticed a difference.

So Im guessing its better to finish in 4th. Do you shift aroud 6500rpm then?

I shift to 4th at about 7000 rpms.

You definitely should be....even a mildly modded car should be above redine in 3rd at the end of the 1/4. Besides, unless you have a streetport and/or midpipe, you should be shifting by 7500 rpm anyway.
