How to tell if your cat is becomming clogged

Hello,
Just wondering if there is a way to know if your cat is becomming clogged?

and if you were to punch out the cat from the stock catalytic converter would you still need a boost conroller to control the boost ? or would it run fine ?

if you were to pop it out the car would possible have boost creep because the cat also restricts air a little, a boost controller will and cannot stop creep.

So is there any way to tune the stock ECU to compensate for the boost creep or is a whole new ecu needed and programming unit as well?

no the stock ecu isnt tuneable, get a block off plate, or port the wastegate in the turbos and it wont be cheap to do, i made my own block off plate when i installed my midpipe, and when steve kan came down to tune the car he told me to take it out and he would tune to compensate for the creep

Low idle vacumn indicates an exhaust restriction, clogged cat.

Try feeding it EXLAX. You will have to clean out the litter box more often. HeHe. I couldn't resist.

The only way to really tell if its clogged is to take it off and look at it. You should be able to hold it up to the light and see right through the catalyst material. if you cant, its clogged.
