How tall are you?? Comfortable?
Just a quick simple thread on how tall are you and how comfortable you feel in your rx-7. I'm 6 feet tall myself and personally I find it hard to drive comfortablly. My legs are too close the the steering wheel and I can't do a toe/heel/toe because my legs are lanky. Considering upgrading to some recaros to lower my seat a little bit. What do you guys think?

Hahaha...I'm 6 ft...300+lbs...and when i tell you a brotha just barely fits I ain't F*ckin around!!! I been wanting to find some lower seats too...I bought a MOMO steering wheel which helped a looooot with the kness hitting the wheel...but Heel/Toe is impossible in that lil thing...I'm no Touge drifter by any means...but every once in a while i track the car and doing a decent burnout is pretty hard with size 13's, lol. I'm probably going to get a Line Lock for it...even tho it's the lazy man's way of doing it...but sh$t...I gotta do what I gotta do...

6'1 1/2" 178 and I find it to be comfortable, of course if you go on a 2+ hour drive I feel it in my back when I get out, but that's due to the seats.
Careful with aftermarket seats, nearly ALL of them except I think the Bride Lowmax I think they are called sit HIGHER than the stock seats. I had to remove the upholstery and shaved 2-3inches off of the foam cushion to fit with a helmet. Seats are still plenty comfortable, but the bolsters squeeze you a bit more, not sure if they would still be comfortable if I had bigger than my 32 waist.

6' 3" and ~180 lbs. The car fits like a glove. Since I have a touring model, my only complaint is lack of headroom with the stock seats. Side mount seats will drop you to the ground but are more expensive than bottom mount seats. You can shave the seat like Hellspawn said to get a little more headroom. I can also "heel toe" with the stock steering wheel, seats and pedals. I use the side of my shoe to tap the gas pedal while braking. It works just just as well and I can downshift perfectly every into every gear including first.

6' 3" and 195.
I am a motivated fit...
When I race, I have to recline the seat and squat down... not cool.
What seats give a drop? I have no problems bolting my seat to the floor.

5'1" (& a 1/2) i can barely see over the steering wheel. i have to put the seat so far forward, i could easily have someone sitting comfortably in the back (on the bin) with their feet on the floor.

What's a line lock?
Yah, i'm glad (or sad) to hear that i'm not the only person with this problem. Planning to get a steering wheel too, but I'm kinda worried about the no airbag part of it. So you say recaros ends up being higher than stock seats?! That's no good!!!

Watch out that's really dangerous with the old single stage air bags. If I were you I would put an aftermarket wheel on and a four point harness to be safe.

6' foot 240lbs here. I got some stumps for legs so my hands always run into them. Planing on getting a 340mm D wheel and non adjustable side mount seats soon. I got the Widefoot pedal attachment and it helped a lot. I can do side step heel/toe now. My legs cramp up after 2 hours in the seat.
Fits like gloove.

I'm 5' 11" 220lbs. My legs aren't really that long, so I don't have to move the seat all the way back(and no issues with the steering wheel) and I recline the seat back so I have plent of headroom. I drove my FD from Memphis to Hampton( think near Va Beach) and my back had no problems. My only issue is that the previous owner put lowering springs in the front of the car, so getting out of the car is a PITA!

If you pull the seat and take a look, the rails are prettymuch as low as they could go. I doubt you could gain more than 1/2-1" bolting directly to the floor.
