I read some where on the design of the FD that they took into consideration the "average male" was 5' 10 165 in the thought process.
Now I wish (I knew where that was.

Hey how do you big footed guys heel toe? Geeez.

6'3" 200 and my knee hits the wheel when I brake. I sat in a fd with small steering wheel while at Rick's and it helped a ton! I've been looking for a jdm fd wheel that keeps the cruise and airbag but is smalled diameter. Does anybody know if such a thing exists? The enfini wheel is the same diameter. If not I'll go aftermarket and put in the cruise like Gfelber did. To wear a helmet I had to shave some foam from the bottom cushion, but now the side bolsters squeeze my butt cheeks together like an 18 year old his first night in jail!
btw I've got a touring with sunroof...

im 6'4 and i love the way i fit in my FD - if i stop i cant sit comfortably with the handbrake on (it gets in the way of my knee) but driving the car is great

its a 92 JDM import.

Ive heard if i get the UK spec seat runners they are a little longer and ill be able to move my seat back further...i dont need to but it might be something you guys might want to try if you have trouble fitting - although the US spec runners might be longer than the JDM ones too.

6' 3" and I fit fine, with a helmet it will rub the ceiling a little but removing some padding under the seat helped. I can also heel-and-toe no problem, and thats actually using my heel and toe, not the side-stepping technique I have to do in my audi.

6' 220lbs, in a touring. I fit fine, driven 5 hours trips in it comfy, but have *no* extra room. To get a helmet in there I'm thinking of bolting the stocker to the floor (don't want to go to a harness with a racing seat on the street), removing padding(gonna squeeze a little), and putting a smaller steering wheel in(for extra knee room).

How do you guys shave some of the foam out without changing the integrity of the seats? Would the leather sag and wrinkle a lot more because of the loss foam? Also which steering wheel do you guys recommend?

i'm 5'3 140lbs. My legs are longer than avg so I don't have to sit right at the wheel but do wish I had about 3 more inches to see the hood of the car.

It does seem to cause wrinkling, but no sagging yet. My drivers seat suddenly looks alot worse than my passenger seat. I'm not positive its from removing the foam though. I had a plan to put an inner tube under the seat so I could pump it up when I wasn't wearing a helmet. Naturally I haven't done it yet...

6'1 180lbs.. no problems fitting, have plenty of headroom, knee room, heal toe is no problem. Have a good amount i can back the seat up too. When i autocross i actually moe the seat forward and still have plenty of helmet clearance. Guess it all has to do with your actual body configuration, rather than actual height.. ie arm length, leg length.

I'm ******* tall

I'm 6'3 and I have the seat all the way back and my knees are up there but I deal with it because it's worth it.

i wanted to get an aftermarket steering wheel, but was concerned about losing the airbag. i never thought about getting rid of the airbag to prevent injury.

Careful about thinking side mounted seats will drop you down. If you use any kind of slider mount on the factory holes your seat will raise. Mazda did a good job of molding the seat bottom down between the rails

The diameter of the stock wheel is about 14 inches right? How small are aftermarket ones like momo or sparco?
