How old is everybody??

Just a show of hands how old is everybody here?

BTW Are all you guys ritch??
so many people have 400 plus hp beasts which cost tens of thousands if I'm not corrected and its just so much money for a vehicle when you still have to have another vehicle!!

I'll only Pull through if I purchase an FD.
I'm going to import one next year from japan which will only cost me 7 - 9 thousand for the car! * vs the 20 + thousand which they cost in canada *
- yes a 150xxx rx7 costs over 20 grand in canada its nuts!

And then 3 - 5 thousand rebuilding the motor + wireing harness, aftermarket BOV and radiator, and gauges

plus Out of province inspection, new tires etc

I'll probably spend 15 grand in total After purchasing the car, rebuild, aftermarket suport.

and then I have to get another car to drive all year cause the one I have is getting pretty pauncho'd.

So i'll then look at spending 3 - 4 grand on a winter beater or something of the sort which I might be able to get my dads fiance's 92 prelude which has been kept in shining condition!

I can squeeze by this because I'm still living at home in my basement! so all my money can go towards a vehicle right now.

I figure when I move out I wont have money to throw around and get my dream car so do it up now!

The ladies may not like the fact I live with my mom, but hey I drive an RX7
i'll get layed

so whats your stories??

BTW I'm 18. I'll turn 19 next december before I get my rx7.

So much talk about this man....

Seriously there was a huge post about the ages and occupations of everyone.

Lots of 25+ and computer related.

And for reference you will see that the FD attracts much more penises than vaginas if I can say so rudely.

Also you will see planning money on the FD is quite difficult and things add up FAST!

LOL, this guy as sooooo much to learn. I've had my FD a few weeks now, and I haven't even had one girl(well minus my friends since I was 5, they don't count) in it. I've been to busy with work for money, work on my car, and work for more money so I can afford to work on my car.

Not only that but your mod list is ridiculous. Better upgrade that BOV quick man! That beast might overheat and then you're FCUKED!

Personally, I think I love my car too much, that any girl would be hard pressed to occupy more than a night of my time.

I would only upgrade the BOV is the stock one has seen better days.
This is just for now, I wanto put some reliability aftermarket modification parts, then leave it mostly stock!

I will get downpiping and free flowing exaust to help with overheating down the road
when I have money to get an ECU and FC box to give er more fuel when the boost peaks so I don't blow the engine.

Im 21, and work for Cisco Systems.

Girls don't like RX7s, because they don't know what the hell they are. And they wont like you, because youll have no money due to the RX7 eating it all.

If you want pick up chicks, get an impreza, evo or skyline.

get in while your young and you may stay in

Got mine when I was 18 (Brand New-70 deal miles) now I am 26 and a bigger rotor fanatic then ever before. Car now has 42K and bad as ever. Looking to possibly pick up another. Yes, I have thrown alot of money into my car but I do for many reasons: The car deserves as much respect, I earn enough that I can do it and the car deserves as much respect.
As few have mentioned that it has gotten them girls. I would like to thinkt that I was good looking enough that I wouldn't have to rely on the car. I am not going to lie though. Yes, over the 8 yrs and through my college yrs. it did get me more than a few girls.

I'm 83 and all ladies down at the retirement home love my RX-7. Unfortunately most of them can't bend down enough to get in the car. One spry 76 year old was able to seat herself though and once I removed the cargo cover we could even fit her walker under the rear hatch. Zoom, Zoom.

I just turned 18, I work in a print shop, and I almost regret buying my seven. I can afford the car but before I was working so that I'd have cash for whatever reasons (not like I NEEDED a job)...now I HAVE to work to pay for my damn car and all it's expenses.

I picked up a '95 base with 43k miles in extremely good condition. It sits now with a blown coolant seal at 44k miles. That's not counting the couple grand I threw into it as soon as I bought it basically in overdue maintenance and whatnot, then another $1400 that came a few hundred miles later from an odd fuel system problem.

I picked up an extremely clean FD given a clean bill of health by a very reputable shop and ended up getting shafted due to the nature of this car.

*sigh* and I still don't think I can bring myself to sell it.

i was 20(now 21) when i bought my frist FD. I drove it i think 13K or 14K within the 8-9months of owening it. a couple of +2,000mile trips and the car did great! i never expirence one major problem with engine the whole time so i've never expirenced the rx7 blues. i'm buying another soon just trying to find the right one befor i get back from the dessert. the FD is a good solid car that i think just a little TCL and paying attention to it will go along way. i'll be an FD owner for a long while.

Haha that woman bit was a joke. I Don't care about getting girls due to a car.
I am not a big one night stand guy to boost so It doesnt matter if I have ferrari...

I like being in a good relationship, hopefully one where the woman understands my passion for cars and lets me spend a few extra bucks for vehicles on the side!

I' sure aslong as she sees diomands or gold here and there she'll wont mind I spent money on the car.

But if I spent 10 grand converting to a single turbo on her birthday...
And in return all she sees for a present is a piece of paper that sais one free back massauge.

I know i'll be sleeping on the couch!

i bought mine last year. Have had lots of fun with the car including some costly maintnence (rebuilt tranny 1300 + new clutch 600, cf hood 600) and then some just cosly fun stuff (PFC, staggered wheels, tunning that wasnt worth a cent but still cost $500)

whats remarkable is that with all the time spent on the fd ive been able to keep my gilr lol
