How often to does a injector get stuck open?
basicly my subject explains it. Iam just wondering how often this happens. I mean rx7 store did pull my injectors out when they rebuilt the motor iam just wondering if that could make one of them stick open. I say this because right now when I start the car it runs rough as all hell and if I let my foot off the gas it will just shut off. That and everytime I shut it off it will just flood.

if they are modified stock injectors, they have a much greater chance of malfunctioning. I would just be glad the injectors didnt get stuck shut.

all they told me was to adjust the PIM voltage at 1000 rpm to %80, turn the o2 sensor to +/-, and adjust the throttle screw in front of the throttle body facing the front bumper. thing is I dont want to waste any more money on flooded plugs and still I dont get how the motor floods as soon as you shut it off. I need some help here
wait a minute... which of your 2 relays controls fuel the green or the yellow one?

the mazda zoom zoom store
It must be something installed wrong, you should go over everything again to see if you miss something. We didn't pulled your injectors out of the rail, we only pull them out of the block. I would check all of the electric connections

I have since solved the problem. dont know how....
- all I did was bypass the fuel pressure solenoid (the last one in the solenoid rack that I still used)
- Fixed the exhaust ground that had broken
- tested the fuel injectors (9v battery test) which were fine
- changed the plugs
- turned up the idle via the screw on the side of the throttle body
- uflooded the motor via removing all spark plugs pulling the fuel and spark resistors and cranking the motor forcing the fuel out of the spark plug holes.
I started the car up and held down the throttle till the car was preety warmed up and then the car idled and everything.
I just found that due to the fact that I had blocked off everything and gotten rid of all the electronics and solenoids, if I were to shut the car off before completely warmed up it would flood. It still does this to this day but what rotary doesent
good luck
