How much when new?

Hey I was just curious how much these cars sold for back in the day straight out of the dealership. I can't seem to find it in the wayback machine internet archive. can someone help? kthnx

The window sticker on mine was like right at 40k (93 touring).

What's crazy also is the price of my old 10th AE 2nd gen. The window sticker on that car was almost 27k in 1988!!!

My Original Window Sticker: $38,820

Here is the sticker for my 1994 PEP FD:



I paid $34,000 after the big Mazda rebate at the end of 1994. They were basically trying to give the cars away.

wow that is the same dealership i bought my r1 from in 94.the sticker price was 34,500 .i got it for 28,000

In early 1993, I priced out a VR R1 at 25,000. I should have bought it.

Prices went up quickly after 1993 as the Yen / USD exchange rate went to **** and many Jap cars were priced out of their market segments.

Geez these cars were pricey. I'm glad they dropped though, as I can have one now. Now that I have mine though, they should go back up........lol
