How much power?

I had posted a while ago that i might be selling my car because my engine needs to be replaced pretty soon. I decided to keep it because i came into some money. I wanna know what kind of hp im going to be at once my engine is running at full potential, my mods include: K&N air filters, 3inch stainless steel down pipe, exhaust. reduced pulley gear, 8lb flyweel, rx7store tuned PFC. Also what mods do you think would be best to get next? I was thinking about a FMIC, any other suggestions? thx!-Eric

Not a whole lot. Maybe 250-260 rwhp if it's tuned correctly. Search the forum, there are lots of threads about mod recommandations.

260, really thats it? Look at this page http://www.pettitracing.com/rx7/index_engines.htm i have the TKT kit (intake, exhaust, and pully kit), + a tuned PFC, downpipe, and 8lb flyweelb.. dont you think i would be close to 300rwhp? Ive done alot of searching and read alot, i guess i want to hear from someone else that what im going to do is a good idea.. I plan on getting a greddy intercooler, Nippondenso fuel pump, and 1300cc Injectors. I dont really know that much about modding cars, do those items seem like a good idea modwise? If im doing anything dumb let me know :P thx -Eric

If that's the case you may want to take it to a REPUTABLE rotary shop in your area (if there happens to be one)

just my $.02

I have taken my car to a reputable rotary shop. I just want a rough estamite of how much rwhp i am at, and if you guys think the mods im thinking of buying (greddy intercooler, Nippondenso fuel pump, and 1300cc Injectors) would be a good buy for my current setup. My mechanic isnt big on performance upgrades so hes not the right person to ask, thats why im posting on the forums.

Right on....................

Years ago I started with a M2 stage III kit (Airbox, SMIC, downpipe, cat back exhaust, fuel pump & chipped computer), 320 rwhp quoted.

Dyno showed 258 rwhp @13psi.

That's it................. $3.5K for a 40 hp increase over stock.

Bought a PFC & with the addition of a HKS twin power, hi-flow cat & under drive pullies, tuned it to 298 rwhp @14 psi (92-94% duty cycle)

Updated the secondary injectors to 1300cc, re-tuned & got 309 rwhp (very hot day) with 74% duty cycle.

What????

You would be better off enrolling in a performance driving school.
Investing in some quality tires (TIRES, not 18,19 inch rims.) & getting the full use of your new abilities in the car.

Estimating HP is complete BS..........

M2 said expect 320 rwhp, Petit says 339rwhp. Anyone ever see that & have the motor last?

Sounds like your looking for some schoolyard bragging rights.
Your Supra & Evo buddies are quoting wild 400+ hp #'s & you want to keep up (figuratively not literally)

I actually just wanted to know what hp i was at for the soul purpose of knowing what hp i was at. Out of my good friends the fastest car is probably a v6 accord, i dont care about bragging rights i just wanted to know where i was at performance wize. I wish there was a local dyno so i could see but there isnt. And as far as modding goes, i know what i want to do next and ive done some research, i just wanted the opinions of others who have modded there cars and have had more experience then me.

Waste of time just "guess-ta-mating" HP. You NEED to dyno tune it anyway. Then you will know EXACTLY how much HP you have.

No local dyno? I wouldn't invest in all that stuff without a proper tune.

Can YOUR butt dyno tell the differance between 250 & 300 hp? I doubt it.

If it makes you feel better, tell everyone your car makes 300 & a lot HP.

Like i clearly stated a bove its not for bragging rights. Ill eventually need to drive out an hour or so to get my car tuned, but it makes sense to tune the car after puting the new mods in. Im sorry if my post offended you or w/e it was just an honest question.
