I bought the car for 11,500. Put another 13,500 into it. Have another 1000 to go or so then it will just be the stuff I break or screw up.

Though it is not up to date here is a list of stuff I spent money on. Stopped when it started being to painful to add up.

Hell... I really don't want to think about it. But the reality is that even including the purchase price I've spent a hell of a lot less than most of the fancy new exotic sports car I pass on the track.

But I've also been passed by some $1000 gutted and dented Z cars and such. So the track isn't really a fair comparison of cars.

bought the car a month ago for 7300. spent 1200 on an engine, roughly 4-500 on regular maintenence stuff, a hundred or two on other stuff, and well over 150 on gas. so im guessing around 1800-2000 in the month ive owned it...

Damn I feel left behind. I have put $6-7k in mods and maint. in a year but I only actually had the car on my possesion for 3-4 month on that year (being deployed a lot). But next year I be putting about another 6k just in upgrading fuel, ECU, Turbo (s), and suspension and I have anything left may be rims.

So true. 0-100 bucks will get you an oil change, 4 spark plugs, and maybe a new thermostat

I'm past the stop counting range. I try not to think about it. Just let the car bring a smile to your face when you drive it.

Less that $25 on maintenance (one oil change). Owned a little less than a year.

Less that $25.00 on maintenence (one oil change). I have owned it a little less than a year. I would also like to point out that it doesn't make you cheap if you want to leave the car stock - especially after ponying up 20K for a mint condition un-molested R2.

In the four years I've had the FD, I would estimate about $6,000, including rebuilding the engine, new tires, getting a PFC and software, and other mods and minor repairs.
