I am thinking of going non sequential depends how much labour it will cost. I just got rebuilt turbos put in with only 100 k on them

oh yeah i have the following mods, downpipe, midpipe, and catback exhaust, thats mildly modded right? so going non sequential would be a good thing not a draw back. The reason I say this is they say that non sequential is bad for a stock car while its good for mildly modded cars. And yeah how much will they charge for the conversion? and will it eliminate this crappy boost creep? I am getting an ecu very soon in a matter of weeks, and yes I keep the boost at 10 psi.

I've searched and read and I have found how to do it, heres the catch though I dont have the tools and I dont have a hoist for the car. So I am getting it done by some rotary professionals in my area, so how much do you think it will cost, according to the labour it took you to get it done?

No more than one hour labor. Dontbearikki had mine done in about 20 minutes. From what I hear the more mods you have the better non-seq will be for you.

Pliers, screwdriver and a 10mm socket should be all you'll need to do it, oh and a jack, I guess you could use the stock one at your own risk!!!

It isn't hard to do, just hard to locate and identify the correct things to pull(if you're a novice). Took me about an hour to do it all, but now after doing it once it would probably take 15min to do again.

As for your mods, you should get an ECU, even though you are keeping boost at 10psi, there is still a lot of increased airflow for the OEM ECU to compensate for.

That is another thing you should look into before doing this. Ask around about what ECU people are using after doing the non-seq and their results. Most people do this mod to correct their boost problems and spikes. If you pattern is fine then I wouldn't recommend doing this mod.

yeah probably it is time for an ecu. if i were you i would save the cash i was going to use to go non seq and instead get the ecu. if you aren't having problems i would stay seq for now. You will get more bang for your buck with an ecu, plus you will be safer and not blow your engine. The only advantage to non seq is no transition spike and slightly better mid range. Penalty is turbo lag. If you can't afford an ecu, then you really can't afford a blown engine. i think you will find most fo these guys if not all with the non seq mod have ecu's. anyway if the seq is not giving you problems keep it until it does and then go non seq. if it ain't broke...don't fix it.

weaklink is correct. If you have good boost patterns, leave it alone. Depending on your ecu, turbo lag can be decent to terrible. I have a friend who gets full boost by 3500 and I don't get it until 4300. ECU is the difference. His is a PFS, and mine is a reworked stock unit with swappable boost chips. I can't wait until I can afford a Power FC. Good luck
