How much does the A/C and P/S really weigh?

Hey, i know a lot of guys remove the A/C and power steering to bring the weight of the the car down, and i was just wondering how much weight this actually saves. These seem like creature comforts that would be worth an extra 15-25lbs. I think i'd rather go on a diet and lose that weight than to remove it from the car.

ok, so how much power does it free up, lets say compared to just an underdrive pulley mod? Does an A/C compressor suck up as much power as say a supercharger?

This is a very butt dyno type comparison, but an fd air pump, p/s pump, and air pump weigh about as much as a 50lbs bag of water softner salt. I just did a comparison in my garage.

Not to mention that it makes it infinitely easier to change your spark plugs...

Jim, if anyone knows how much the two systems weigh it must be you... or I would bet you could at least offer up a close guess...? Is the 50 lbs someone else mentioned accurate for A/C and power steering systems.

Dang, is this all really worth it if you still do driving on the street ever so often? I can do without the AC and heck, maybe even the p/s, but I don't know about the ABS. And what signifigance does the air pump have?
