How much coolant flows through the radiator-trans lines?

I have an automatic radiator installed on my 5spd. Lately I have been getting the add coolant light every couple of runs, and I noticed that for some reason the line that I had connecting the two unused radiator-transmission lines is broken. But.. when my add coolant light goes off, I usually only need to add about 250ml of coolant to top it off, so what gives? Is there really only this tiny amount of coolant coming out?

No coolant flows through that line, transmission fluid flows through it. So thats not your problem.
