How Much?
How much could i get for my FD i've been thinking of selling it and buying an EVO now for awhile. A list of the mods is on the sig. the body is great shape, interior is flawless, and paint isn't perfect but damn good for being a 93 the car presently has 73,000 miles on it and 3,000 miles ago had the tranny rebuilt. I don't really want to get rid of the car if i can't get anything out of it, but i want a nice car that i can drive around year round not half a year like i do with the FD.

I can think you get AT MOST, 16.5k Thats just my opinion though.
I would just keep it.
I have to agree with you. At times, i wish i just had one car i can enjoy all year round with a warranty and all that. But i know how rare these cars are and the overall experience it brings me. So i just use a beater for the crappy days and the FD for nice days.
When im old and wrinkly, then ill get 1 car i can use all year round.

Well i dont mean beater like a 1971 civic. I mean there are alot of nice beater cars out there that are still within our decade and affordable too. I mean i had a 94 mazda 626 that i just sold because it was auto. I really want stick so im trying to get this 300zx for a beater.
IMHO, getting an evo as an only car will not only be boring (yes it does get boring) but it will also prevent you from keeping it stock because you already tasted modification, you know damn well you're gonna do things to the evo.
Then if that was the case, might as well keep the FD since you already started.

You made the perfect point there, I didn't really think about that more than likely the evo would be far from stock and in the same boat again!

well if you wanna sell your car you should probably put it back to stock, or close to stock and sell the aftermarket stuff. Like giving me a good deal on the t-78

ey i got a daily driver and i live here in florida where i can drive my fd everyday if i wanted, but it just feels better when you drive it now and then IMO you appreciate the car more. plus less maint. and damm forget about gas. i say just keep the fd and get a fun beater

Exactly
I mean dont get me wrong, the evo is a great car, soo much potential, awd for all weather conditions and has a warranty. But having it as the only car will result in getting bored with the same power, same style. Thus having the urge to put more money into it.
And then you still have a payment and you're risking a void on the warranty cause you WANT to do something to it. Its not worth it really. You'll prob end up getting a beater anyway if you get the evo. Just keep the FD, its getting more rare each day imo, having one should be a blessing. Plus you're already at a good standpoint in mods, just maintain it and it can be fun all the time and wont break and stuff.
