How to monitor your oil level in your FD?

How does everyone keep the oil at a good level in their FD? If it's too low, the oil pressure fluxuates under any acceleration, and if it's too high, the foward seal will blow out. (Found that out the hard way, $1400 later, the car's back on the road ) Is there a gauge you can use, or a better kind of dipstick?

I check mine once a week. If its low I add more. The Stock oil preasure guage is notorious for being wrong and I have no problems with reading my oil dipstick.

I check mine every 2 to 3 days. Whenever I stop to get gas or cigarettes.

But then again I have an oil leak coming from someplace unknown, so its kinda necessary for me.

Just check every other time you gas up. More frequently if you have a problem (leak, or burning oil).

I think he means "at some time, every FD leaks".

Mine didn't leak, then it did, then it didn't, then it did....

I'm currently at the "didn't" stage.
