How loud in stock form???

Is/Was a stock exhaust equipped FD pretty quite at idle. How about at WOT?? I'm thinking of buying a stock main cat to replace the MP/Hi-flow cat.conv.combo in my FD.

Would exhaust Dbs lower significantly with the stock unit?? I'm currently using a 3" S/S system consisting of.....DP - MP w/HFCC - Dual Tipped MagnaFlow Muff.

I really envy the stealth (much quiter) exhaust found on newer sport cars such as the GT Mustangs and the C5.

I ran an MP for about a year before I had the HFCC installed on it. I never had issues with a smelly MP.

So you've got the stock main cat on???

I have a friend running an RB Duel tip with a MP, and it sounds pretty quite at idle. At WOT it opens up though.

A stock catback, and main cat is extremely quiet, even at WOT.
A racing beat catback and a main cat is still pretty quiet, even at WOT.

I've got a DP, gutted main cat and stock CB. It's a little throaty at idle, but you can't hear it with this windows up, not even at WOT.

The MP doesn't smell bad, it is the exhaust that goes through it.

If you didn't have an issue it was because you ignore the absolute STENCH that comes out of a rotary. The exhaust stick to your clothes like tabacco smoke...

At idle, I can't even hear my stock exhaust over my fans! When rolling, the Pirelli Asimmetricos just drown it out completely after 20mph.

I think I'm in denial,...cause I just don't think the smell is there?? Then again, I used to think my 69 Camaro's exhaust smelled pretty damn good at WOT.
