How hard will it be to find????
I'm looking for a White FD. I want a base model if possible. At least no sunroof. What are my chances of finding one of these FD's. I know I'm looking for a 94'-95'. What are my chances??

You've got that field VERY narrowed down. Be prepared to prioritize and sacrifice a few of those preferences. If I was you, I would just worry about getting a base with a 5-speed and in good condition. Even that will be quite a chore to find, and when you do find it, you will make quite a trip to pick it up. Beggars can't be choosers.

If you do a search, there was a thread not too long ago that broke down every model that was made and how many, by year and by color. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

I guess I start looking for other colors that fit what I want. I guess if I don't find a stock white I can get a color change done. So that means I'm looking for a 93-95' Base. That shouldn't be to hard to find. Let me know if you guys see a 94'-95' Chaste White Base for sale.

Repaint another FD to the color you want. It may be cheaper in the long run anyways plus you could have your car tomorrow if possible. Just get a good paint job, not some MACCO $199 resrpay. I hate when cars are repainted except for the doorjams, engine bay, etc.. Get it all done, and done right.

Color change =$$$$ probally around 4-5 grand for a good job. I'd rather wait a little longer and find one that is alrady white. But I wouldn't mind a black or silver either. Could you put a pearl in teh clear coat on one of these 2 colors and it look good?

My friend has a blue pearl in his Silver FC. It looks pretty nice. If you get a White one that is almost 10 years old, then it may need repainted before too long anyways. I have never seen a pearl in a Black car. Maybe a Midnight Blue or another dark color would work though.

Hi Gun,
LA Motorcars has a white 94, but it is a touring model. Just check out his website www.LAmotorcars.com. Good luck on finding the car you want. Later.

The FD has options typical of Japanese cars, not Chevys. Like Honda Accords, want the VTEC motor in certain years, it has to be an EX, same goes with other options, sunroof, alloys wheels, etc. You can't really pick and choose options, just packages. For FD it is Base, PEG/PEP (same thing really), R1/R2 or Touring. That is it.

My bad, I couldn't remember off hand if the sunroof was a stand-alone option or not. That's why I said they COULD have had a sunroof. Thanks for pointing that out though.

by the way. I remember seeing a white FD in Manassas, Virginia a few weeks ago. It was a used dealer that had an rx-7. I dont remember if it had a sunroof or not. It looked in great condition. if im not mistaken, it was a '93.
