I'd be more worried about the deer than the cops. A cop might write you a ticket, impound your car, suspend your license and put you in jail, but a deer would kill you. Game over.

A nice 4 lane straight that runs about 2-3 miles.

I-75 december 3am comming from a friends house. saw no one in front or behind me & punched it from 3rd gear @ 80. was going for about 2 minutes & then i popped one of the spark plugs (thinking i blew the motor) Speedo was at 193mph. Thats with A T78 @14lbs making about 442hp.

i know things will be different now that i have a massive street port with a gt4202r on a 1.28 housing.

heres the thread

Have been 170-180ish a bunch of times. These cars are capable of it and handle very well at speed. But the stock brakes aren't... Give your self sum room....

Just as a side note, high speed accidents are survivable. 2 weeks ago I had two friends go air born at 120mph or so in a Acura Integra. One was ejected when the car hit a telephone pole, the other was wearing his seat belt. The passenger wearing his seat belt suffered worse injuries and need medical attention. The ejected drive walked away with cuts and bruises. Just weird the way things happen. Both should have died and are luck they didn't kill any one else.

Yeah there are those stories and then there are the stories like the one that happened over in DE where a husband and his wife slid off the road in a pickup at about 50. Both weren't wearing seat-belts and were ejected (one only partially) from the truck only to get crushed by it when it rolled over them. The kid that was strapped in his car-seat in the back row was fine, except didn't have parents anymore.

Take it easy on the streets, remember there are worse things then killing yourself. Oh, and don't listen to those stories about freak occurrences when seat-belts did more harm then good. Wear your seat-belt you are better protected in the car than out of it.

this is now an accident thread!

A (18yo) friend of my cousin was driving his new-to-him eclipse spyder with 3 friends. Him and the front pass were using the seatbelts, the rear passengers weren't. Long story short, he crashed and the 2 rear passengers flew out and died...

I did 150 ish on the interstate and ran through a radar trap so then i decided to go to 178 according to the gps. he gave up and i took a later exit and parked the car in a school parking lot and took a very nervous walk. not one of my better ideas.

Not as wild as some of you but still scary. At 100, the loose interior parts start to rattle, then above 100, everything smooths out

Somewhere around 175mph (speedo indicated) on my old setup, would have gone faster but I had to slow down to traffic.

I passed a few cars at that speed, I really wish I could have seen what they saw. lol

The car felt inspiring stable at that speed, and when I slowed down I felt like I was crawling at 120mph.
