After thinking on satoacs's statement, I remember that alot of that was actually covered in my driver's school! Maybe I was the only one paying attention. Hmm... At any rate this is stuff I do all the time when I'm driving and I don't feel that it should be considered advance techniques. This should be the basic stuff. There are much more advanced things to be concerned with when driving in adverse conditions then any of the things I've mentioned. Those are the advanced techniques, not whats listed here.

I forgot to mention the #1 reason I don't drive the FD in the rain .
It gets dirty. I think most of us like to keep the FD pretty clean, and looking good. Driving in the rain instantly removes all that effort that has been put into making it look nice. Thats my reason for not driving in the rain.
