how does oil get into the airbox

how does oil get into the air box. also i get blue smoke at startup always have for the past year and a half. could the smoke be from that oil. thanks

also my car wont go ito reverse.?? ouch man

The BOV will occasionally let a little oil through, which would shoot it right into the airbox. Totally normal.

The Oil in the AirBox comes from The TURBOS thru either the CRV or The BOV oil gets into the Turbo Compressors by leaking past the bearings - also under boost the PCV sustem vents into the Primary Turbo inlet and can be another source of oil in the intake and/or Airbox

If your car won't go into reverse, check your shifter bushings. My car did the same thing and it was the bushings. If thats the case, pretty soon it won't go into any gear.

Your turbos are probably leaking a little oil. That is why you get the blue smoke and the blow by out of your airbox. It is comming from the Charge Relief Valve or the Air Bypass Valve, totaly normal just shows your turbos are aging.
