How do you tell when turbos are going?

Hey Guys...
After a fairly quick spirited run and then parked the car in the Garage... it shut-off after 2 mins of running with a turbo timer. Too cool down the turbos.

I came back to the Garage 10 mins later then... I noticed a real Bad smell (kinda like burnt oil) somewhere and also slightly whiteish smoke from the tailpipe. I have no Catalitics in the car. The car does have a slight oil leak on the side where the Turbos are.

But the Turbos still make good power. What could this be? Coolant levels are fine and did not smell sweet.

Has a little Blue smoke on the start up. But gone after about 5 mins. And if I just cruise slowly around not getting into the second turbo then park it ---no smell or no smoke...

Anyone got any suggestions? jc.

Just having a brief look: I found some oil on the underside of outer rear turbo casing. It's hard to
tell where it is coming from...sorry not jason...
but from Canada.

Alberta... where is Cloverdale?
But there are a few of us here with 3rd gens.

The Oil is on underside of the rear Compressor casing.
Not huge leaks... but I am concerned about the smoke from the tailpipe. When I go for a good rip. And coolant levels are good. And not a sweet smell.

Was considering a slightly thicker oil to maybe slow down the leak.

jc talk to you later.
